ROCCO FORTE HOTEL DE LA VILLE, Rome – Your ideal downtown stay

I had a wonderful experience at De La Ville hotel. The rooms, while lacking a view, set a great atmosphere with their spaciousness and fantastic bathrooms. Although a bit dark, the rooms were comfortable and inviting. The service was excellent, especially their willingness to offer alternative options within my budget range. The location couldn't be better, close to major attractions like the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The dining experience was exceptional with a wide variety of delicious foods offered at a discounted price. Overall, highly recommended for a great stay.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The enormous balcony in my room offered breathtaking views of Rome, from The Vatican to The Wedding Cake. However, the room felt a bit dark as it was located at the back of the hotel. It would be great to see more female-friendly amenities like additional outlets in the bathroom.

However, the beds were slightly uncomfortable. The service was top-notch, with a special shoutout to Giacomo Pica and the entire concierge team who were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The location was absolutely perfect, being just steps away from famous attractions like the Spanish Steps and surrounded by fantastic shops and restaurants. However, there was an additional charge for WiFi in previous years. The dining experience was delightful, offering a wide variety of Italian delicacies, including made-to-order pancakes which was a pleasant surprise. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall luxury of the hotel.

If you want to stay near the Spanish Steps, this hotel is cozy and wonderful. The rooms are small but well-appointed with a European charm, though the elevator can be a bit noisy. The service here has been exceptional, making it the best we've experienced in Italy. The location is amazing, right by the Spanish Steps, with fantastic views over the city. The dining offers a wide selection, though sitting outside may attract some pesky pigeons. Overall, a great choice in the heart of Rome.
